

I admire that about Elie.This quote below shows that this is a big deal in his community, to study Kabbalah before the age of 30. It also shows willpower and inner strength because he probably didn’t want his father or community to find out that he was essentially breaking a law, but it was something he wanted to do so he did it. I think that this shows that he is committed to what he decides to do with is life because he went behind his father’s back and learned about Kabbalah when his father and society decided that one must be 30 before learning about that. Elie was deeply observant and wanted to learn a lot about Kabbalah and it’s teachings. And during the day Elie Wiesel studied Talmud.
